1Gb Memory or more?

From Haiku Max Wiki

BeOS R5 has a serious RAM related bug which will cause a system to crash if more than 1Gb of memory is installed (some reports put this amount lower on certain machines because of integrated video card memory). Although BeOS cannot utilise more than 1Gb of RAM, there is a patched bootloader [1] (http://www.bebits.com/app/3851) that allows you to work on machines that have more memory. This will be included in BeOS Max V3.1 Final. Remember that BeOS Max runs fine on systems with 1Gb of RAM even without the patch. You need it only if you have more.

Zeta (TM) R1 on the other hand can see up to 2Gb of RAM, and works on any memory configuration without a patch.

Update: There will be no final version. Since Zeta R1 is out we are halting Max.
